www.jobs.et reserves the right to modify the Terms & Conditions at any time.
www.jobs.et provides a service to bring Job Seekers (Users) and Employers (Clients) together. Job Seekers and Employers can register, create profiles/job posts and search for jobs and resumes.
Throughout these terms and conditions:
2.1 Users may be required to register on www.jobs.et in order to use our online jobs board or offline recruitment consultancy services.
2.2 Users are required to provide truthful, correct, and complete information upon registration. Users further agree to notify jobs.et within reasonable time of any relevant changes.
3. Information Protection
3.1 We will protect all information according to the prevailing Ethiopian law.
3.2 Unless required by law, or as permitted by conditions from time to time, we will keep all registration details confidentially and we will not disclose to any third party without permission.
3.3 We will monitor the contents of postings on our platforms/site in order to ensure that content of postings is in line with the objective of the business and also in line with the prevailing Ethiopian law (in particular laws relating to political language, defamation, harassment or obscenity). We may remove such content without any precondition or notice. Temporary unavailability of content and removal may also be carried out by us for the purposes of maintenance and service improvement.
3.4 In order to comply with necessary law enforcement requirements, we reserve the right to provide contact information to regulatory authorities when requested to do so; we may also provide information details of a user where a complaint arises concerning the users use of our platforms, and where that use is deemed to be inconsistent with these terms and conditions or the prevailing Ethiopian law.
4. Database Rights
4.1 Once information is recorded in our database, database rights and all other applicable copyright and intellectual property rights in the candidate’s database belong to jobs.et. Users acknowledge that they do not acquire any rights in the database or its content.
4.2 Users may not share, sell or license information and material from jobs.et
4.3 Potential employers may not contact candidates on the database or make or allow any use of their information other than for the purpose of recruiting suitable candidates for specific job vacancies.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
5.1 Apart from the limited rights of use for the Services as set out in these terms and conditions, nothing in these terms and conditions gives users any rights in relation to copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights in jobs.et other than the limited rights of use of such service set out in these terms and conditions.
5.2 Users agree not to copy this site/platforms or modify them for use other than set out in these terms and conditions.
5.3 User hereby indemnify us against any and all liability for any and all copyright infringement or the breach of any other intellectual property right, that is caused by the user’s failure to abide by these terms and conditions.
6.1 We will exert all reasonable efforts to maintain jobs.et as fully operational and error free as possible. However, we have no liability for any failures caused by any software used by Client or Candidate when inputting any information.
7.1 By submitting a vacancy, Client is giving authorization to jobs.et to post and broadcast such vacancy on our online Jobs boards.
7.2 The Client is responsible for the nature and content of the vacancy posting, and shall indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability, expense and/or any loss in connection therewith.
7.3 Jobs.et does not guarantee that the Client will receive any response to the vacancies posted on our site/platforms.
7.4 Client shall be responsible for verifying the information provided by candidates. Jobs.et is not responsible for any content within a candidate’s posting. The Client is solely and fully responsible for verifying the candidate’s identity, eligibility to work, experience, training, qualifications, Certificates of Competence, and registration by the appropriate regulatory or professional body.
7.5 Clients are solely and fully responsible to protect their systems against any viruses, even though jobs.et endeavors to take all reasonable measures against predicable intrusion to keep its site and platforms clean from known viruses.
7.6 Unless otherwise there is a separate agreement that involves jobs.et as a party, all and any dealings between a hiring Client and a candidate in relation to vacancy and subsequent employment are the responsibility of the Client, and jobs.et takes no liability in relation to this. The Client shall indemnify jobs.et against any losses resulting from it.
7.7 Client is required to post true vacancies for the purpose of hiring an appropriate candidate only, and not for purposes other than for the Services outlined herein. Jobs.et reserves the right to monitor the quality of the postings from time to time to verify the listings and to provide an improved overall Service.
7.8 The Client must abide by all employment regulations and directives as required by law, and can’t hold jobs.et responsible for any omissions or violations made by Client in the content of posting.
7.9 By accessing or using any part, service or feature of our site, the Client agrees to use it in a professional and lawful manner to post authentic and unique content which provide both adequate and accurate vacancy details. Client also agrees that any abuse of the service or our terms and conditions can result in access being denied.
7.10 From time to time, our consultants or reps may contact Clients for the purposes of service evaluation, marketing and promotion of new services.
7.11 Jobs.et reserves the right to change any aspect of the Service without notice.
7.12 The Client agrees not to sell or in any way transfer the benefit of the services that we provide to the Client, including but without limitation the job postings that the Client displays on jobs.et.
7.13 The Client agrees that they will only use jobs.et in a manner that is consistent with these terms and conditions and in such a way that ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In particular, the Client will not use jobs.et to transmit or distribute any material which is unlawful, offensive, of any obscene nature, or which may, in our judgement, cause annoyance or inconvenience to any person or group.
7.14 The Client agrees not to use jobs.et or the services made available to the Client to interrupt, damage or render the services of jobs.et less efficient.
7.15 The Client agrees to take full responsibility for their use of jobs.et, and accordingly the Client accepts liability under these terms and conditions for third party use of jobs.et which is in breach of these conditions.
7.16 The Client agrees not to use jobs.et for hacking or to gain or seek unauthorized access to other computer systems for whatever purpose.
7.17 The Client agrees to maintain the confidentiality of the price negotiated between jobs.et and the Client and to keep any negotiations or any such information connected with it in commercial confidence and not to disclose such information without the explicit permission of jobs.et.
7.18 If the Client links jobs.et with content to an external site, the Client is fully and solely responsible for maintaining the link and for the content of material on the linked site. Jobs.et reserves the right to remove the link or the content from its site that are unlawful or deemed inappropriate. The Client indemnifies us from and against any claims or liability arising from content or links contained in the Client's postings.
7.19 Vacancies posted on jobs.et may also appear on our partner’s sites or third party recruitment platforms pursuant to periodic agreements between jobs.et and the proprietors of such platforms.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit users’ liability for personal injury or death caused as a result of negligence.
8.2 Except as set out in these terms and conditions, we shall not be liable to a user or to any third party for any lost profits, loss of business or any indirect, consequential, incidental or special losses or damages of any kind or nature whatsoever. Paying Client's exclusive remedy for any claim, loss or damages in any way related to any services provided or anticipated to be provided under these conditions shall be limited to the value of any paid service purchased from jobs.et.
9.1 On successful registration and acceptance as Jobs.et online platform user, you shall be entitled to use Jobs.et online job board subject to these terms and conditions which will remain effective until terminated in accordance with the applicable provisions of these terms and conditions.
9.2 Client’s right to continue to use jobs.et will terminate immediately on written notice from us if the client fails to comply with any of these terms and conditions, is in arrears, becomes bankrupt or insolvent.
10.1 Prices are guaranteed for the specified time on the contract or as advertised
10.2 Jobs.et may, at its discretion, leave a job posting for an extended period of time even if it is longer than what the Client has paid for.
10.3 Prices may be revised from time and time and subject to change without affecting existing contracts or paid posting.
11.1 For parts of the Service where payment is applicable, payments must be made in full to avoid Service interruption. Jobs.et reserves the right to decline Service provision where payment is applicable but not made in full.
11.2 Jobs.et shall endeavor to avail all possible payment collection channels for Clients to complete payment on time.
12.1 Jobs.et may offer refunds for a paid posting with genuine error after investigation and provided that the paying Client contacts jobs.et within 24 hours from posting.
13.1 Failure or neglect by jobs.et to enforce at any time any of the provisions of these terms and conditions shall not be construed nor shall be deemed to be a waiver of jobs.et rights under these terms and conditions nor in any way affect the validity of the whole or any part of these terms and conditions nor prejudice jobs.et from taking subsequent action.
14.1 In the event that any provision of these terms and conditions shall be determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such provision shall to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
15. Force Majeure
15.1 Jobs.et shall not be liable to users with regards to any circumstances that may constitute breach of these Terms and Conditions if they are caused by force majeure. These are circumstances beyond the control of jobs.et which shall include but not be limited to acts of God, fire, flood, drought, explosion, sabotage, accident, embargo, telecommunications and utilities failure, civil unrest, riot, orders of government, the malfunctioning of software or defects/problems with external services jobs.et uses.
16. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
16.1 The laws of Ethiopia shall govern the terms and conditions set out herein. Both Client’s and Candidate’s use of jobs.et and the use of all of our affiliates’/partners’ platforms hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Ethiopian courts.
